Terms
Play fairly. Organise responsibly.
These launch-readiness terms explain the core product rules. Final legal terms must name the operating company and be reviewed before public release.
Your account
Keep account information accurate, protect access to your account and do not impersonate another person, venue or organisation.
Hits and venue activity
Hosts are responsible for accurate times, prices, venue arrangements and participant expectations. Players must only propose WTN reporting for eligible matches and must agree before a result is reported. Spectator-friendly does not override a venue's own access rules.
Payments and cancellations
For each paid hit, the named host is the seller and merchant of record for the advertised tennis session or venue-cost contribution. Hitters provides booking and payment technology. Stripe processes the charge on the host's connected account; the host pays Stripe's fees and Hitters receives the disclosed platform fee. The complete amount you pay and what it covers are shown before payment. Stripe controls payout timing.
Do not use Hitters for unrelated transfers, stored balances, wagers or result-linked payments. Hosts must describe venue costs and claimed qualifications truthfully and follow venue rules. Hosts authorise Hitters to initiate refunds on their connected account when the published product rules require one; Hitters also returns the related platform fee. Refunds debit the host's Stripe balance, return through the original payment method and can take time to appear. The host remains responsible for fulfilment, refunds and disputes, with Hitters available to help. If a host cancels or a player uses the product to leave before the scheduled start, the player receives a full refund and Hitters returns its complete platform fee. Stripe may not return its original processing fee to the host. Once the scheduled start has passed, no-show, disputed-attendance and partial-session cases are not refunded automatically: members should first resolve them together, then ask Hitters for help if needed. V1 does not offer partial refunds or cancellation charges.
Safety and acceptable use
Do not post unlawful, abusive, misleading or privacy-invasive material. Follow venue rules and use sound judgement when meeting another player. Report concerns to safety@playhitters.co.uk.
