Six commitments for everyone who plays, organises, offers services or shares venue content. They help people make clear arrangements and treat one another well.
Be welcoming to people with different experience, backgrounds and reasons for playing. Harassment, threats, discrimination, sexual misconduct, intimidation and targeted abuse are not acceptable.
Do not impersonate a player, venue or organisation. Describe your playing level, role and qualifications honestly so others can make an informed choice. A venue listing or community-confirmed claim is not proof of coaching accreditation, age or safeguarding clearance.
Agree the court, cost, playing format and expectations before play. Hosts should keep the advertised details accurate; players should check their request or accepted place and communicate changes using the available actions or shared contact details. Follow the venue's booking, access and conduct rules.
Coaches and paid hitting partners must describe the service and price clearly. Stringers should keep their service, prices, turnaround and handover information accurate. Do not use PlayHitters for wagers, result-linked payments, unrelated transfers or misleading claims. The hosting and Stringing guides explain the available tools.
Mixed-age tennis, coaching and paid hitting use the ordinary hit flow. If a member is under 18, their parent or guardian must approve and know about every hit and ensure suitable supervision, travel, arrival and handover. Public hit details can explain the session; private supervision arrangements belong in an appropriate private channel. Follow the under-18 guidance.
Share only what is needed to arrange tennis or fulfil a service. Do not copy, publish or reuse contact details, customer addresses, photographs or conversations without permission. A player's choice to share contact details for one hit does not grant wider consent.
Do not publicly post an exact age, school, home address, private contact details or supervision arrangements for a member under 18. Include their parent or guardian in direct communications when safeguarding or venue rules require it.
Before sharing images or video, check that everyone shown has agreed to that public use and that the audience is appropriate. Do not use a link to expose hidden, private or access-controlled material. Read the Privacy notice for how PlayHitters handles information and the filming guidance before recording or going live.
Keep venue updates, Watch entries and hit descriptions accurate, relevant and free of spam. Managers and contributors should publish within their granted permissions and make clear whose information they are sharing.
A social-media link is part of its update for moderation. Link only to relevant public YouTube, Instagram, Facebook or X content that you are entitled to share, and describe important venue information in text. Livestreams and recordings are part of their Watch entry too: keep the court and source details accurate and follow the filming and livestreaming guidance. Linked media cannot be used to evade these rules.
Do not post terrorism, child sexual exploitation or abuse, pornography, hate, bullying, serious violence, or content that encourages suicide, serious self-harm, eating disorders, dangerous stunts, illegal activity or other harm. The hosting service has its own reporting and privacy controls in addition to PlayHitters's controls.
Organisers should report a no-show only when the hit took place and they know that an accepted player did not attend. Reports must be accurate, factual and made in good faith. Players can dispute an inaccurate report; organisers can withdraw unresolved mistakes.
If the entire hit did not take place, use the whole-hit correction instead of naming individual players. Never use attendance reporting to settle a disagreement or manipulate another member's trust signals. Read the deadlines and effects or review your records in My tennis → Activity.
Signed-in members can report a player, hit, venue update or Watch entry from its context. Blocking is a separate action on player pages; it limits visibility and new requests between two accounts. The blocking guidance explains existing arrangements, payment recovery and moderation access.
Assigned Venue Managers can review the venue content they are authorised to manage. Administrators can review reports, record outcomes, suspend accounts, cancel unsafe upcoming hits and remove publishing access. PlayHitters reviews and acts on content found to be illegal or against these rules.
If someone is in immediate danger, use emergency services first. Do not email sexual images of anyone under 18. Signed-in members can use the contextual Report action, or contact PlayHitters for help with a concern. The safety page explains urgent help, safeguarding referrals, complaints and appeals. These rules do not replace venue rules, safeguarding authorities or emergency services.
