Make tennis welcoming and safe.
These rules describe how the current product is moderated. They do not replace venue rules or emergency services, and require professional review before public launch.
Respect other people
- Be welcoming. Harassment, threats, discrimination, sexual misconduct, intimidation and targeted abuse are not acceptable.
- Do not impersonate a player, venue or organisation, or publish another person's private information without permission.
- Keep venue updates and hit descriptions accurate, relevant and free of spam.
Organise responsibly
Agree the court, cost, playing format and expectations before play. Follow the venue's own booking, access and conduct rules. Do not use Hitters for wagers, result-linked payments, unrelated transfers or misleading claims about qualifications and identity.
Protect privacy and consent
Share only what is needed to arrange tennis. Do not copy, publish or reuse contact details, private coordination links, photographs or conversations without the person's permission. A player's choice to share contact details for one hit does not grant wider consent.
Report and block
Signed-in members can report a player, hit or venue update from its context. Player pages also provide blocking, which hides profiles, hits and shared contact details between the two accounts and prevents new requests. Administrators can review reports, record an outcome, suspend accounts, cancel hits and remove venue publishing access. Hitters does not promise an investigation or response time in this draft.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service first. To report a conduct or safety concern, email safety@playhitters.co.uk.
