Understand the total, who receives it and when to pay. Set up online collection only when you need it.
Hit prices show Total per person. Stringing prices show the service and handover basis per racket. Check the applicable member/non-member rate and the itemised breakdown before requesting. For hits, your self-declared membership at request time determines the saved quote; later profile changes do not alter it. Stringing prices follow the accepted service and handover choices.
Free means no payment. Pay online uses Stripe Checkout. Pay at venue uses the named recipient's own payment process at the stated place and time. A hit can split its costs between online and venue collection; paying the online amount does not pay the separate venue amount.
PlayHitters charges no platform fee. Stripe deducts its processing fee from the provider's online receipt; it is not added as a separate surcharge to your total. Community play can share genuine arrangement costs; Coaching and Paid hitting include a service price.
For a hit, wait for organiser acceptance, review the saved quote and select Pay on the hit before its deadline. For Stringing, review the accepted service and use the order's payment action. Checkout prefills your confirmed account email. You do not need your own Stripe account to pay.
After Checkout, return to the arrangement and read its status. An unfinished or uncertain payment is not a secured place or evidence of a completed charge. Follow the same arrangement's recovery action and check Payments before trying again.
Online collection is available only where it is enabled and the provider is ready. A venue payment is handled directly by its recipient: PlayHitters does not verify it, collect it or process its refund.
Coaches, paid hitters and stringers need administrator approval before offering their services. Apply in My tennis → Payments with your public provider details, service categories and a short private description of your background. You can apply without first completing any hits. Coaching and Paid hitting also require community confirmation; Stringing instead needs approved venue access with Stringing enabled.
Check your application status and review notes in Payments. Approval covers your selected service categories, so you do not apply for each hit or order. Changing your public provider details requires a fresh review.
If you claim an official venue affiliation, use the email request in your application. Ask an authorised person at the venue to email PlayHitters directly and CC your verified account email, confirming the venue and your role. Independent providers do not need a venue endorsement.
Once approved, you can publish Pay at venue without a Stripe account. Community cost sharing can also be collected at the venue without provider approval.
Public provider name, email and geographic business/service address are visible before a request, including to signed-out visitors. They are different from private Stripe checks and per-hit contact choices. Use an address you are entitled to publish and where customers can contact you. Members under 18 should not publish a home address.
If any amount is collected online, complete Stripe setup and wait for current payment/payout readiness. Your provider details, venue authority and professional responsibilities remain separate from Stripe verification.
PlayHitters does not require optional paid Stripe products. Review any product or trial Stripe offers and decline it unless you independently want it. Ordinary processing fees still apply to online payments.
Your connected account is reused when you add eligible paid services to existing Community collection. Stripe controls payouts and their timing; a successful player payment is not the same as money reaching your bank.
Eligible pre-start player withdrawal, host cancellation and a host-recorded whole-hit not-played outcome trigger a full refund of the amount paid online. An individual no-show report changes attendance only. Stringing has its own before-work cancellation policy; do not apply the hit schedule rule to a racket service.
Stripe may retain its original processing fee after a refund. The organiser or stringer bears that retained fee. Read the consequence before confirming a refund-triggering action, and check the arrangement for recovery progress. Pay at venue refunds must be agreed with the recipient.
Contact the named organiser or stringer first about the service, cancellation or refund. Online providers use Stripe Dashboard for their payments, refunds and disputes, and Stripe Support for their account, payout or fee issues. A cardholder raises a formal payment dispute with their bank/card issuer. Contact PlayHitters for Checkout or platform-status/recovery problems.
An agreed reschedule or replacement can be useful when plans change, but it does not remove a refund the policy or law requires. Keep your own complete income and receipt records, including venue payments that Stripe does not record. See Terms for the full responsibilities and operator information.
An optional contribution helps keep PlayHitters running, separately from any hit or Stringing service. Choose your amount on Stripe. Contributions are not charitable donations or eligible for Gift Aid, and do not buy access or priority.
Give anonymously or share your username and amount. Public contributions appear in the latest donations and add to your lifetime supporter total. Anonymous gifts show their amount without a profile link and never increase your named total. You can hide your previous public contributions from the contribution page when signed in.
Contact PlayHitters support about a mistaken contribution or refund request. Successful refunds reduce the displayed amounts. Read the contribution terms for the full details.
