Venues, Updates and Watch
Discover the tennis community, share useful news or court streams and help keep your venue's information and services current.
See what is happening at a venue
Select a venue in Explore or open its full page to see its current offerings. Play venues bring together court facts, hits and local activity; Stringing appears where offered. Updates shares venue-linked news, training and match information. Watch has Now for current court streams and Past for published stream history and optional recordings.
This gives players a way to discover the place, contributors a relevant audience and managers a shared home for useful information. Public activity is attached to the venue, rather than a personal follower feed. Check the official venue website for booking, prices, opening and access rules.
Open the venue's Updates panel and use its contribution action. Follow any account, claim or permission requirement shown.
Write the useful facts in the update text: for example, a training recap, club notice or match update. Avoid private contact information and obtain permission for anything you share.
Optionally add one supported public link: a YouTube video, Short or live video; an Instagram post or Reel; a Facebook post, photo, video or Reel; or an X post. Upload media to a service you control first. Include the key information in your update text so it is useful with previews off.
Publish if you have the relevant contributor permission, or submit for review. Check your contribution's state. You can edit your own updates; edited content is labelled, and removal of published content leaves a short notice. The edit form warns if saving will temporarily remove a published update from public history and return it to review because you lack direct publishing permission.
A permission for Updates does not automatically grant Watch publishing authority. Use Search update history to open the full archive and filter past updates. Copy link shares an individual published update. Private review requests and safety information remain separate from the public feed.
To watch, open the venue's Watch panel and choose Now or Past. Select Play to load the named external provider, or use the provider link if playback is unavailable.
To share, arrange the broadcast on a supported YouTube, Twitch or Kick account and obtain the required filming and venue permissions. Add stream shares that link; it does not start broadcasting.
Open Add stream at the venue. A player needs an accepted hit there that is in progress or starts within ten minutes; PlayHitters finds the eligible hit. Assigned venue managers can use their separate venue authority. Follow any other eligibility step shown.
Choose the numbered court, paste the supported stream link, add an optional short title and confirm filming permission. Use Add stream for immediate publication when allowed, or Submit for approval when review is required.
Use your available controls to end the entry or add a specific recording link after the stream. End the external broadcast separately at its provider.
Now has one stream slot per court. An empty slot is not a court-booking claim. A viewer or streamer cannot reserve a court through Watch.
Watch supports YouTube live videos and recordings, Twitch channels and recordings, and Kick live channels. YouTube and Twitch recordings can play here; Kick recordings open on Kick. Share posts, Reels and Shorts through Updates.
Past retains published history under the ordinary visibility, account and retention rules. A channel link can later show a different broadcast, and an external recording can disappear. Add the correct recording when available; changing a recording can require review. Watch does not create, store or guarantee a recording.
Open the post or video on its original service. Use Share or Copy link, or copy its address from your browser. Paste that HTTPS link into PlayHitters; no embed code is needed.
For Updates, choose an individual YouTube video, Short or live video; Instagram post or Reel; Facebook post, photo, video or Reel; or X post. Profile pages, Stories and private messages are not supported.
For Watch, choose a YouTube video or live-video link, a Twitch channel or recording, or a Kick channel or recording. After a broadcast, add the link to that specific recording. Kick recordings open on Kick; YouTube and Twitch recordings can play here. Shorts belong in Updates.
Check that other people can open the link. For a preview or player here, the provider's embedding settings must allow it. A recognised link confirms its format, not whether it will play. Keep the essential news in your update text so it still makes sense without a preview.
Share only content you have permission to publish. Never paste a private stream key, broadcast-server address or sign-in link. PlayHitters prepares the supported preview or player from the public link, subject to the viewer's media choices and the provider's settings.
The provider guides below explain sharing and embedding settings. If they offer HTML embed code, keep using the ordinary post or video link on PlayHitters.
Start with your provider's streaming guide, then test your camera, sound and connection before play. Arrange the venue and participants' filming permissions first. Start and end the broadcast with the provider; Add stream on PlayHitters only shares its viewing link.
YouTube: use the link to the individual live video, not your channel. Check the provider's current live-streaming eligibility and embedding settings before the session.
Twitch: share your channel while live. If you want a replay, check your past-broadcast storage settings before starting and add the recording's video link afterwards. A channel link may show a different broadcast next time.
Kick: share your channel while live. Open the finished replay in your channel's Videos section and copy its link to add a recording. Replays have limited retention, so check the provider's current rules; PlayHitters does not keep a copy.
Find the existing venue, then request Venue Manager access from its page and explain your role and why you are authorised to manage it. For a missing location, request its review through Contact us. Neither request changes public information or grants immediate access.
Share the email request shown in your application with an authorised person at the venue. Ask them to email PlayHitters directly from the venue's official address and CC your verified account email, confirming your permission to manage that venue. An administrator checks the confirmation before approval. If the venue has no official address, contact us for help confirming it through its published contact details.
Once assigned, open Manage venues and select your venue. Work only within that assignment and the controls available to your current account.
Update your assigned venue's details, courts and official links; review pending Updates and corrections, and manage contributor permissions. Listing offerings, public visibility and manager appointments remain administrator-controlled.
Use Manage streams for pending Watch submissions, recording changes and Watch contributors. Review filming and relevance before approval; future publishing permission is a separate decision from accepting one entry.
Where enabled and authorised, manage Stringing offers and orders from the venue workspace. Scoped LTA confirmation requests have their own current-claim checks. Venue access does not give authority over another provider's Stripe receipts.
Media previews in Privacy covers all six providers. Instagram, Facebook and X previews in Updates are off until you allow each provider; you can change these saved choices in this browser. YouTube thumbnails load automatically in Updates and Watch, while its player waits for Play. Twitch channels and recordings and Kick live streams in Watch also wait for Play; Kick recordings open externally. Choosing Play in Watch does not save a provider preference.
Loading a preview or player, or opening an original link, shares information with that provider under its own privacy rules. YouTube thumbnails can share your IP address and browser information before Play. Social links on player profiles open externally rather than loading embedded previews.
If playback fails, use the provider link or the available Retry action. Private, deleted, restricted or embedding-disabled media may be unavailable. For incorrect venue facts, use Suggest a correction. For harmful content, use its Report action; removing a PlayHitters entry does not remove content from the external provider.
