Build a useful profile, understand your current capabilities and control privacy, emails and account data.
Profile lets you describe your tennis, playing level and equipment and add an optional profile picture and supported links. Completed activity and community confirmation provide context, while your own external links remain your claims. A playing level helps others assess a session; it is not a verified rating.
Profile-email visibility can be Private, Signed-in members or Public. This is independent of the contact choices for a particular hit. Phone is not a public profile field. Review public provider disclosures separately if you offer paid services; those details are visible before a request.
Self-declared venue memberships and your default venue help discovery and applicable pricing. They do not prove membership to the venue or publish a list of your clubs. Keep private addresses and supervision details out of your profile and public posts.
Email confirmation establishes control of an email address. An LTA-number claim is a separate private claim. Community confirmation unlocks paid-hit participation and full Community hosting; offering Coaching or Paid hitting also needs provider approval. These are platform permissions, not proof of age, identity, qualifications, insurance, DBS status or parental authority.
Open Settings → Identity & confirmation to add or correct your claim and see progress. Earn community confirmation automatically through three credited Community hits on different London calendar dates, with at least two different already-confirmed players across those hits. Each hit counts seven days after it ends, once any relevant attendance cases are resolved.
Those players must already have been confirmed when arranging the hit and still be eligible. Several hits on one date count as one date. Your Starter-hosted Community hits can count; Coaching, Paid hitting, cancelled hits and participation recorded as not played or an effective no-show do not.
You can also request direct review by an administrator or an assigned venue manager. You do not have to complete three hits before using that route or applying to offer paid services. Provide only the evidence requested by the review flow.
The screen shows progress, outstanding evidence or recovery steps. An expired or declined request does not itself close your account; follow the available route. A contested claim needs the shown recovery before hosting or paid capabilities resume.
If your claim is already community-confirmed, you do not need to repeat these steps.
Already have LTA Advantage? The LTA says your LTA number is the nine-digit number in your account's Account Details.
PlayHitters does not sign in to the LTA or check its records. Copy the number back here so the PlayHitters community can confirm your private claim.
Settings → Notifications contains available pre-hit reminder and routine review-email preferences for your current responsibilities. Essential account, payment and arrangement messages and urgent administrator safety messages remain on. Saved searches separately owns your optional Hit alert: an ordinary saved search sends nothing.
Automated PlayHitters emails come from notifications@playhitters.co.uk, with replies directed to our support inbox. If an expected message is missing, check your junk or spam folder. Contact us if you need help with email delivery.
Use Settings → Privacy & safety to manage blocked players. Blocking restricts interaction but does not erase information already shared outside PlayHitters or automatically settle existing payments and arrangements. Report a specific concern through the Report action on its player, hit, update or stream. Social-preview choices are browser-specific controls in the Privacy notice.
Settings → Account & data lets you download a portable copy of your supplied information and activity. It is not a complete response covering every internal record; the Privacy notice explains broader access requests.
Before deletion, resolve active hit requests, reservations, accepted places and any outstanding Stringing custody or service obligations. The account screen explains what needs attention. Required financial, safety and legal records can remain under the retention policy; image cleanup may complete after account closure.
Delete account opens a confirmation window where you can leave optional, private feedback about your experience. You can leave it blank. Nothing is sent until you confirm deletion, and feedback is saved only if deletion succeeds.
If you cannot sign in, use the password-reset or verification-resend action on the sign-in flow. Follow the latest email link and request a fresh one if it expires. A successful password reset signs out existing sessions. Account-access screens avoid revealing whether another person's email has an account.
